Special Meeting

October 27, 2009   5:15 p.m.

City of Oswego, Kansas

Present:  Councilmembers Ryan Willis, Jane Rea, Dave Blankinship, Ty Lewis with Mayor Tom Bringle presiding.  Clerk Cheri Peine.

Absent:  Councilmembers Cindy Sanders and Glenn Fischer.

Mayor Bringle opened the meeting at 5:15 p.m.

Peine advised the Council need to adopt and include one additional resolution as part of the grant application to demolish the building at 705 Fourth Street owned by Tim Branson.  The resolution states the city will maintain through the strict enforcement the City’s nuisance ordinances if awarded the grant.  Peine presented “Resolution 10-27-09A” entitled, “A Resolution assuring the Kansas Department of Commerce that the improvements to be financed with 2010 Community Development Block Grant funds will be continually maintained.”

Blankinship made a motion and Willis seconded to approve the Resolution as submitted.  Motion carried.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:24 p.m. on a motion from Willis and second from Rea.  Motion carried.
