Special Meeting

November 30, 2009  5:30 p.m.

City of Oswego

Present:  Councilmembers Glenn Fischer, Jane Rea, Cindy Sanders, Ryan Willis, Ty Lewis and Dave Blankinship with Mayor Tom Bringle presiding.  City Clerk Cheri Peine

The meeting was called to consider action on submitting an application for a Small Communities Improvement Project (SCIP) grant to Kansas Department of Commerce (KDOC). 

Fischer made a motion as chairman of the SCIP committee that he and Councilmember Jane Rea had served on, to submit an application for a $125,000 grant to SCIP for improvements to the ballfield project located north of Oswego High School, Tomahawk Lane and Lewis seconded.  Motion carried.  Mayor Bringle signed the signature page to be included with the application.

A letter in support of the ballfield project to Kansas Department of Commerce was presented and the Mayor and all Councilmembers signed upon a motion by Blankinship and seconded by Lewis.  Motion carried.

There being no further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.  Motion carried.
