RESOLUTION 12-12-17

BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS:

THAT, the following days shall be paid holidays for city employees during the 2018 calendar year and the Oswego City Office shall be closed on these days:

New Year's Day                        Monday, January 1, 2018
Martin Luther King Day             Monday, January 15, 2018
Memorial Day                           Monday, May 28, 2018
Independence Day                   Wednesday, July 4, 2018
Labor Day                                 Monday, September 3, 2018
Veteran’s Day                           Friday, November 9, 2018
Thanksgiving Day                     Thursday, November 22, 2018
    and the day after                   Friday, November 23, 2018
Christmas Eve                          Monday, December 24, 2018
    and Christmas Day               Tuesday, December 25, 2018

HOW HOLIDAYS AFFECT TRASH SERVICE
When a holiday falls on a regular trash day which is Monday or Tuesday then that day’s trash service
will be the following Wednesday. For instance the holiday falls on Monday. There will be NO interruption
in Tuesdays trash service and Mondays trash is picked up on Wednesday. On a holiday week since Wednesday
is being used as a regular trash service day then there are no leaf, brush or special bulk item pickups that day.
