Housing: Oswego has a new subdivision called Hillcrest Addition in which the City has built & sold 3 houses. The City is currently working with two potential developers for additional housing opportunities. Countryside Apartments provides housing at market rates and Westside Homes & Eastside Townhouses are limited to elderly (55 & above).We have several homes and vacant lots for sale. The City has recently completed an extensive demolition program where 18 dilapidated homes were removed. We are currently seeking funding for rehabilitation of existing homes.

Medical Servies: Oswego is fortunate to have St. John's Mercy Clinic with a DO & PA seeing patients M-F, and several specialists visit the clinic each month. Frisbee Chiropractic Care & Oswego Family Eye Care have just constructed new buildings in Oswego.
Medical Facilities: Oswego Community Hospital, http://www.oswegocommunityhospital.com , a 12 bed critical access hospital and Labette County Medical Center in Parsons, KS provide quality hospital care. Infinia Health Care provides long term nursing care and Oswego Home Place is an assisted living care facility.
Farmers Market: A Farmers Market is held Monday and Thursdays from 3:00-6:00pm at Schmoker Park during the growing season. There are a variety of items for sale from baked goods, crafts, home grown fruits and vegetables. etc.
Annual Events: Oswego Chamber of Commerce, www.oswegokschamber.com. ,sponsor several events throughout the year including an annual Hamburger Fry for Business Appreciation held in June, Oswegofest in the fall at Riverside Park and the Annual Christmas Parade in December. The Oswego Fire Department and the Oswego Chamber host the annual 4th of July Celebration. The Labette County Fair begins on the last Monday in July each year and has become one of the premier county fairs in our area.
Parks & Recreation. Oswego Riverside Park & Fairgrounds & Swimming Pool has over 90 acres of park with ball fields, park equipment, beautiful views of the Neosho Valley from the 100' bluff. Many people walk in the park daily and shelter houses are available to rent for family reunions, etc. Recently, a new 10,000 square foot community center was built at the entrance to the fair grounds. The center has three meeting rooms or can be opened to one large event area. It has a state of the art kitchen facility for large group events. Oswego has 2 RV Parks. Kamp Siesta is located behind the fairgrounds in a beautiful shaded area and Danny Elliott Park is located on the edge of the Neosho River. Hunting and fishing abound in the areas surrounding Oswego and several private hunting facilities have been opened. There are still numerous public open hunting & fishing areas available as well.

Recreational Opportunities: Oswego Golf Course is open to the public. Oswego Airport, Wildlife Mined Pits for hunting & fishing, and Oswego Little League Summer Ball.
Other area recreational opportunities include the Big Brutus Museum and Memorial which is located east of Oswego near West Mineral, Kansas. Fire Department: The City of Oswego has a well trained Volunteer Fire Department. Within the City Limits the Fire Protection Rating is a "Class 6".
