On August 10, 2020, the City of Oswego, Kansas, adopted Ordinance No._1445_ granting a conditional use permit allowing for a bed & breakfast type facility on a residential lost at 511 Wisconsin and granting a conditional use permit allowing for four small overnight rentals to be placed on one residential parcel at 209 N. ORDINANCE NO. _1445__

 

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING FOR A BED & BREAKFAST TYPE FACILITY ON A RESIDENTIAL LOT AT 511 WISCONSIN AND ALLOW FOUR SMALL OVERNIGHT RENTALS TO BE PLACED ON ONE RESIDENTIAL PARCEL AT 209 N. VERMONT, OSWEGO, LABETTE COUNTY, KANSAS.

 

WHEREAS, application has been made by Kim and Emmett Burton, owners, requesting a conditional use permit to allow for a bed & breakfast type facility on a residential zoned lot at 511 Wisconsin, Oswego, Kansas; and,

 

WHEREAS, application has been made by Kim and Emmett Burton, owners, requesting a conditional use permit to all for four small overnight rentals to be placed on one residential zoned parcel at 209 N. Vermont, Oswego, Kansas; and

 

WHEREAS, the Oswego Planning Commission of Oswego, Kansas conducted a public hearing on Case No. CUP-2020-01 and CUP-2020-02, respectively, following published notification in accordance with K.S.A. 12-741, et. seq., as amended, on July 20, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS, the Oswego Planning Commission based on information presented and discussed at the hearing, has recommended that the Governing Body of the City of Oswego, Kansas, approve the Conditional Use Permit to allow for a bed & breakfast type facility on a residential lot at 511 Wisconsin and approve the Conditional Use Permit to allow for four small overnight rentals to be placed on one residential parcel at 209 N. Vermont, Oswego, Kansas, be approved;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS, THAT:

 

Section 1. A Conditional Use Permit allowing for a bed & breakfast type facility on a residential lot at 511 Wisconsin is approved and a Conditional Use Permit allowing for four small overnight rentals to be place on one residential zoned parcel at 209 N. Vermont is approved.

 

Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 10th day of August, 2020.
