CITY UPDATE April 27, 2011
Welcome to the Oswego City Update. This will be a regular column, and will be used to keep you updated on what is going on at the City of Oswego. It will be in the Labette Avenue, on the City’s official website www.oswegokansas.com and also on Facebook; type in City of Oswego to access our facebook page. Please utilize these excellent sources of information to stay abreast of issues facing our city and things that are of concern to Oswego residents.
One of my goals as Mayor is to keep you better informed on what is going on at the City of Oswego. The information in this Update will come from a committee that consists of the City Clerk, several members of the City Council, several individuals from the community, and myself. By having it structured like that, the staff can get information to you in a timely manner on issues of concern and items of interest; the council members can give you insight behind decisions that are being made, issues being discussed, and also issues or plans that may be long range in nature; by having members of the public included we can address concerns that you may have. I will also write from time-to-time for this column.
We are looking for a catchier title for this article. The title needs to indicate that the news is from Oswego. If you have any ideas, please send them to me at the address below or contact Cheri at the City Office. If we use your suggestion we will recognize you in the article the following week.
I look forward to working with you and am excited about the future of Oswego. By everyone working together you will be surprised what we can accomplish if we are not concerned about who gets the credit.
