Utility Delinquent Notices
At the April Council meeting, it was approved to make a change to the delinquent notices for city utility services. A new format for the Oswego utility bill will take effect July 1, 2023. The bills will no longer be postcards but on letter size paper. The following message will display on the utility bill every month and serve as your delinquent notice. “All billings for utility services shall be due and payable in full at the Office of the City Clerk on or before the 10th day of the following month. A 10% penalty will then be added. If full payment has not been received by the City Clerk’s Office within 13 days past the due date (the 23rd day of each month), services will be terminated on the next business day (the 24th day of each month)”
Please note after July 1st: There will NOT be a delinquent notice mailed if the utility bill is not paid by the due date. The full ordinance can be viewed at City Hall or it is available on the city’s website, www.oswegokansas.com.
