ORDINANCE NO. 1496

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR JOHN MROCZEK AT 1601 6TH ST. IN OSWEGO, KANSAS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF OSWEGO, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission and after notice and a hearing, that the following described real estate is hereby approved for a conditional use permit to allow one miniature horse at the property commonly known as 1601 6th St., to wit:

 

Block 18, Hollingsworth’s Sub-division of the West ½ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 16, Township 33 South, Range 21 East of the 6th P.M., and that portion of the South ½ of vacated Fifth street lying North of and adjacent to said Block 18, City of Oswego, and the East ½ of vacated Nevada Street lying West of and adjacent thereto and W ½ of vacated Dakota St. lying East of the adjacent thereto. EXCEPT the West 280 feet.

 

The West 20 feet of the West 120 feet of the following described tract: All that part of Block 19, in Hollingsworth Sub-division of the West ½ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 16, Township 33, Range 21, lying South of the right of way of the railroad, City of Oswego, Labette County, Kansas.

 

SECTION 2. No change is made in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Oswego, Kansas.

 

SECTION 3.  That the Mayor be authorized to execute all documents necessary to issue the conditional use permit.

 

SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication in the official City newspaper.

 

ADOPTED by the Governing Body and approved by the Mayor of the City of Oswego, Kansas, this 8th day of January, 2024.
