PROCESS WASTE LAGOON EXPANSION
General Notice
City of Oswego, Kansas (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Process Waste Lagoon Expansion
2023-Oswego-03-001
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at Oswego City Hall, 703 Fifth Steet, Oswego, KS 67356
until Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened
and read.
The Project includes improvements to the existing process waste lagoon which consists of the following Work:
Construction staking; clearing and grubbing; demolition, earthwork, excavation, sorting and stockpiling of
material within project area; construction of laydown areas, entrances and roads including gravel surface,
base and subbase; installation and maintenance of erosion control devices; construction of drainage
diversion; construction of new expansion cell lagoon system with piping, embankment, liner, riprap,
structures and fencing; construction of process waste piping; finish grading, seeding and mulching.
The Project has an expected duration of 90 days to Substantial completion and 120 days to Final Payment.

Prospective Bidders may contact the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to
3:30 pm, and may obtain digital copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described above.
Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be
responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other
than the Issuing Office.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the
Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Owner reserves the right to accept any proposal; or to reject any proposal; to waive irregularities in a proposal; or
to negotiate if it appears to be in the best interest of the City of Oswego, Kansas.
