022023 thumbCopper & Lead Surveys

Enclosed with the newsletter is a Copper & Lead Survey. The Envi-ronmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently announced changes to drinking water regulations that require water suppliers to identify all materials used in the construc-tion of the water system. The water supplier must identify all construc-tion materials used on both the suppliers AND customer’s side of the water meter. The Kansas De-partment of Health and Environ-ment (KDHE) is requiring the wa-ter supplier to submit this infor-mation before October 16, 2024. If the required information cannot be gathered from the home owner, KDHE may require the water sup-plier to excavate private lines to identify them. Please return the survey to the City Office at 703 5th St, mail the survey to PO Box 210 or send by email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
